“In Limbo” explores the complex, often contradictory transition between adolescence and adulthood, focusing specifically on the liminal space occupied at ages 19 and 20. It is a time marked by uncertainty (no longer a child, not yet fully grown) and this work seeks to visually articulate the emotional and physical tension that comes with that period of one’s life.
This project is a meditation on what it means to “come of age,” to feel unmoored yet painfully self-aware, and to find one’s footing in the slow, aching process of becoming.
Thank you Caitlin Lam for modelling<3
